Πριν λίγο καιρό είδα την ταινία Das Leben der Anderen (2006) (The Lives of Others). Ήθελα να την δω εδώ από τότε που βγήκε αλλά το καθυστέρησα μερικά χρόνια. Την είχα όμως κρατήσει σε DVD. Τη λάτρεψα. Τα πάντα σε αυτή. Το υπέροχο σενάριο, τη σιωπηλά ηλεκτρική ατμόσφαιρα, τον ήχο, το soundtrack, όλα. Οι ερμηνείες φανταστικές, αλλά μία με διαπέρασε πολύ περισσότερο από τις υπόλοιπες. Αυτή του Ulrich Mühe. Με άγγιξε, με συγκλόνησε ο θαυμαστός αυτός τρόπος με τον οποίο ο μεγάλος αυτός ηθοποιός μπήκε στο σκοτεινό χαρακτήρα του, με έδεσε σα θεατή ήσυχα στην καρέκλα μου και με πέταξε στο πάτωμα. Χωρίς ίχνος συναισθήματος. Και μετά. Και μετά κατάφερε να δείξει την άλλη πλευρά του Wiesler, την ανθρώπινη πλευρά. Πάλι με ελάχιστες κινήσεις, δίχως λόγια.
Η ταινία τέλειωσε. Άφησε ένα τεράστιο χαμόγελο και κύματα ενθουσιασμού, άπειρες σκέψεις και ερωτήματα, θαυμασμό για το αριστουργηματικό αυτό έργο και για την ερμηνεία του Ulrich Mühe. Έψαξα περισσότερο για αυτή και τους συντελεστές. Ήθελα να μάθω αν είχα δει άλλη ταινία του Mühe και δε το θυμόμουν. Το πρόσωπό του γνωστό. Από την αφίσα του Funny Games του Haneke όπως αποδείχτηκε μετά. Δυστυχώς, μαζί με την πληροφορία αυτή, το IMDb μου έδωσε και μια άλλη. Ότι ο Ulrich δεν είναι πια μαζί μας. Ο μεγάλος αυτός ηθοποιός έφυγε από τη ζωή στα μέσα του 2007. Ο ενθουσιασμός χάθηκε απότομα. Το έργο του όμως είναι εδώ, οι ερμηνείες του έμειναν. Το Funny Games (1997) το έχω και αυτό σε DVD εδώ και χρόνια πολλά. Δε το έχω δει ακόμα. Θα το δω. Νομίζω πως ανυπομονώ.
